After a 9 year stint at Young & Rubicam as the Creative Director for Western Canada, he left to start AdMaki Creative with his wife, Tanya. Mark has made the rounds at agencies in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. In his 35+ years in the advertising design industry, Mark has gained valuable experience and won numerous national and international awards in a variety of sectors for clients such as Whistler/Blackcomb, McDonald’s, Subway, Toyota, General Foods, EdTel Mobility, Mark’s Work Wearhouse, EPCOR, Vancouver Canucks, America West Airlines, Ford Motor Company and APEGA. Mark also taught for 10+ years advertising at the Alberta University of the Arts as a sessional instructor. He is an avid connoisseur of sushi. But not the weird ones.

When it comes to dotting your i’s and crossing your t’s, there’s no better person to be on the job than Tanya. With 30+ years as a Pre-press Production Artist, Production Manager, and Account Executive with several advertising agencies and design shops, Tanya has wielded her computer savvy on some of the most recognized brands around. Her attention to detail and timely completion of tasks is impeccable. She was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia where she completed a Marketing Management diploma. Currently, she not only runs a successful business and is a founding partner of AdMaki, but she also volunteers her time to community and school organizations. She is a true believer that giving is better than receiving.

Ontario born, Kate was raised in Calgary where she completed her BA majoring in Advertising at the Alberta College of Art + Design (now AUArts). During her schooling, Kate did pro-bono work for non-profit organizations such as the Military Museums of Calgary and worked as a contract designer for a variety of web clients. Kate is a full time asset to AdMaki’s client base and offers her expertise in design and illustration. She is known in the office as our very own ‘Wikipedia’ when it comes to researching anything from computer issues to Viking grooming habits.

Born in Vancouver but raised in Calgary, Michelle is a little bit city, a little bit country and looks forward to the one week a year she’s allowed – nay, expected – to wear her cowboy boots. She earned a diploma in Software Development at SAIT but owes most of her working knowledge to the fine people at Shaw Communications. After almost 10 years at Shaw, building web products such as Video on Demand and Shaw Go WIFI, Michelle finally decided to strike out on her own to meet new companies and build new things. From golf discount apps to video mapping and beyond, she works to broaden her development horizons one project at a time. She may only be a part-time addition to the AdMaki team, but as they say: less is more.

With over 35 years’ experience meshing media planning with marketing strategy and creative execution, Linda has developed media strategies for local, national, and international campaigns. Most memorable, though, are her planning and executions of unique media buys including airplane banners over Calgary and the first interior wall decal on Calgary’s LRT. Her client list is extensive; from the University of Calgary to Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation, more restaurants than you could think to eat at, financial services, automotive, government, industrial, tourism, and even other media companies. She is that good and AdMaki is lucky to have her on our team. Without her, our award-winning ads would not see the light of day.
